DevOps Engineer – Newcastle upon Tyne

Automate and maintain infrastructure and environment provisioning.

Own and manage the Continuous Integration (CI) infrastructure.

Develop monitoring and diagnostic solutions for systems and applications.

Deliver automation solutions for internal users to improve efficiency and reliability.

Strong scripting ability in PowerShell or another scripting language.

Experience coding in C#, Java, or Python (background as a developer or strong coding competency).

Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible or Terraform .

Knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm).

Experience with monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Grafana, or similar).

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines , ideally using TeamCity .

Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server .

Windows and Linux administration experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, ideally from a Russell Group University .

Minimum AAB at A-level (or equivalent).

Experience with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, JIRA).

Artifact storage (Artifactory).

Octopus Deploy experience.

Familiarity with static analysis tools (SonarQube).

Control-M or similar job scheduling tools.

Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Knowledge of VMware (vSphere) and SAN storage technologies.

Financial services experience is a plus but not essential.
