Within the Care in the Home division, we support clients with spinal cord injury to live independently in their own homes.

We'd like you to join us as a Live In Support Worker in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

Meet the client:

I enjoy gardening, especially growing vegetables, house plants and bonsai trees. I like watching sports and films and going out for meals. I like to go target shooting with an air rifle, I also like fishing. It would be great if you could drive so we can go out and do these things together. My goal is to go on holiday again, I have been to some great destinations, including America and Japan. I would like someone to take the time getting to know me and having conversation. I have a really dry sense of humour and enjoy a laugh. I would prefer a candidate to have some experience working with spinal injury, someone who is willing to learn and take the time to support me with my clinical needs.

What you'll be doing:

• This role is to support our male client with a spinal cord injury within his own home
• You will move into the client's home and support him with personal care (including washing, dressing and toileting), moving and handling, domestic tasks and social activities

When you'll be working:

• Regular assignments with this client
• Assignment length 2 weeks at a time

What you'll have:

• Kind and caring nature
• Flexibility & reliability continuity of care is imperative for our clients
• Good communication skills
• Our client requires support with driving, therefore you must hold a full UK drivers licence

What to look forward to:

• £150 - £168 per day (depending on UK experience and qualifications)
