Early Years Teaching Assistants – Across Newcastle

Are you an enthusiastic and nurturing individual with a passion for supporting young children in their early learning journey? We’re looking for Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our team and provide high-quality support across a range of nurseries and early years settings throughout Newcastle.

Location: Across Newcastle
Start Date: ASAP
Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant (Flexible Supply Opportunities Available)

• Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years

• Assist with planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework

• Help maintain a caring, safe, and stimulating environment for all children

• Work alongside teachers and early years practitioners to deliver quality education and care

• Support with daily routines including play, mealtimes, and outdoor learning

• Build warm, trusting relationships with children, families, and staff

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or Teaching Assistance (or working towards one)

• Experience supporting children in early years or primary settings

• A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning

• Good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work across a range of settings in Newcastle

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
