Motor Vehicle Technician (MOT Tester)
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £36,363 - £39,862 per annum
Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Council (City Transport) are seeking a qualified MOT tester, time served motor vehicle technician to be appointed on a permanent contract.
The Role
City Transport have two test stations testing class 4,5 & 7 vehicles, with one site conducting compliance and MOT testing of Licenced Taxis & Hackney carriages.
The successful candidate will join the dedicated team of testers at the modern MOT test station facility at Wincomblee road in Walker.
Skills and Qualifications
The council are recruiting someone with the skills and experience to enable the effective and efficient testing to DVSA standards in a busy working environment.
- You will have served a recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle engineering to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- You will hold a valid MOT tester qualification
- You will hold a category B driving licence is essential with categories D1 & C LGV licence being advantageous
