Nursery Practitioner Needed – School Nursery in Walker, Newcastle
Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner with a passion for supporting young children’s early development? A welcoming school nursery in Walker, Newcastle is seeking a committed practitioner to join their team on a supply basis.

• Job Type: Temporary/supply position, with potential for ongoing work

• Location: School nursery in Walker, Newcastle

• Hours: Flexible shifts available – term-time only

• Support children's development in line with the EYFS framework

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that inspire learning

• Work closely with the class teacher and nursery team to meet individual needs

• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and independence

• Build strong communication with children, staff, and parents

• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)

• Previous experience in an early years setting, ideally within a school nursery

• Solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
